How Does Botox Work?
Botox is a neuromodulator (a safe, purified protein of botulinum toxin type A) that is injected into targeted treatment areas using an ultra-fine needle. Botox works by blocking the nerve signals needed for facial muscles to contract. Once Botox is injected, this neuromodulator relaxes the muscles and decreases their overall movement to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Results are seen gradually over the course of 3 to 7 days following injection!
Is Getting Botox Safe?
Yes, Botox is an FDA approved treatment to target fine lines and wrinkles. However, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have certain pre-existing neurological diseases then you should not receive Botox treatments. Is The Treatment Painful?
The injection is not considered painful. Most patients report a brief period of discomfort during the actual injection, which does not persist once the entire treatment is complete.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Botox?
Botox can be injected to address any fine lines or wrinkles on various different facial areas including the forehead, eye area (crow’s feet), and lip lines. Some other areas most commonly treated by our licensed injectors are dimpled chin, bunny lines, lower face, platysmal bands, and to also target gummy smiles!

What Does A Botox Treatment Feel Like?
Botox treatments are quick with minimal discomfort. The injection requires no anesthesia or downtime. Botox is usually known as the “lunchtime treatment” as it is quick and basically painless!
When Will I See Results?
Results will vary depending on each patient and their metabolism however it usually takes 3-5 days to see the effects of Botox.
How Long Does Botox Last?
Botox typically lasts for 3-5 months from the date of treatment. Over time, your body metabolizes the neuromodulator leading to the return of muscle movement in the areas injected. You can maintain results by undergoing maintenance treatments every 3-4 months. What Are Some Of The Side Effects??
Side effects may include mild bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness around the injection site. All of this resolves fairly fast post treatment.
